I cancelled my Sprint PCS service because I was tired of overcharges that came in my bill each month. Although some of the overages were legitimately described in the plan, I just ddn't agree with them; wireless is overpriced. They did remove (most of) them each time after I called a service manager, but it was just a hassle. No fuss on the signal though, which was good all the way to parts of Mexicali. So I fronted the $150 cancellation charge; I had a year to go on my contract.

But now my office wants me to get a PDA/wireless phone type gadget. Can any of you tech-savvy people reccomend a wireless service and device? I don't care if it's Sprint again, since the office would be paying for a set plan, as long as its good signal. What are you people using?

Thanks

Once my Cingular Wireless contract is done with, I'm looking into signing up with Sprint. It just seems like they are the best option for the Imperial Valley, specifically Calexico, due to all the feedback I've heard/read on them. But now you're mentioning problems with overages?

Could you please explain what the problem exactly is?

BTW, I completely agree that wireless is overpriced. It's like their service costs the wireless companies nothing, but they are simply overcharging us to pay for their marketing campaigns.

The good signal in Mexicali is always a plus.

I don't have a PDA/smart phone, but I have my eye set on the palmOne Treo 650 if I sign up with Sprint. This phone just looks cool and very functional. It's also very expensive and I'm wondering if I can actual justify owning it.

I read that in the first quarter of 2006, Motorola will unveil a PDA version of their Razr mobile phone. If Moto can keep the phone slim and combine PDA capabilities similar to that of the Treo 650, then it will become yet another hit.

Might have to wait for it to come out to switch phones.

Isn't the razr exclusive to Cingular?
