On Monday of this week, I went to a local website that listed all of the local radio stations here in the valley and its surrounding areas. I saw that San Diego’s 760 KFMB AM was listed as a local radio station which was very strange. Anyway, I went home that day and decided to tune my radio to 760am and…… Voila! KFMB San Diego in the Imperial Valley!
For those that you don’t know what the heck is KFMB it is a talk radio station in San Diego that has many of the top radio host in the nation. The station is the home of Rick Roberts, Bill O’Reilly, Sean Hannity, Michael Savage, Tony Snow, and Alan Comes. I was shocked and pleased to hear talk radio here in the Imperial Valley.
The first show that I listen that Monday was The Savage Nation with Michael Savage. I just finished reading his bestseller book “Liberalism is a Mental Disorder” last week. Savage is a racist, Conservative Bush hater. He said that both parties and the president are liberals! I don’t like Savage.
Today I woke up early to catch up with Rick Roberts’ Court of Public Opinion this show deals a lot with pedophiles and Rick tries to get them away from the streets. He even has section every Friday called the “Top Six” in which he gives the name and address of sexual violent predators recently released. Rick has been an advocate of children for many years and he was one of the proponents of the Megan’s Law which is now used in the entire nation. A very interesting radio talk show to listen every morning.
With great pleasure I heard The Radio Factor with Bill O’Reilly. Finally, I get to hear his radio show which is a complement to his TV show on Fox News.
Finally, I got to know Sean Hannity with the Sean Hannity Show. A good radio show and very informative. The best radio talk show in the nation since he has won, for three years in a row, the award for best national radio host by Radio and Records organization. While all of the shows covered the Michael Jackass case, he went with new information. I specially liked his promos like the once that said “Listen Liberals, Sean Hannity didn’t cost John Kerry the election. But thanks for the compliment.” The best line I heard this year.
Even when KFMB can be heard locally they don’t have a very good reception but you are able to listen with clarity. You might have to move your radio a little bit if you want to hear. They need an antenna here in the valley.
