I checked out a Sprint shop this past weekend and I'm almost convinced with choosing them as a provider. For $40 a month ($30 the first 3 months) you get 300 Anytime minutes, unlimited nights & weekends, long distance, plus their Vision service which is Web access. You get a nice little phone too, but for $50 you can get the [url=http://www1.sprintpcs.com/explore/PhonesAccessories/PhoneDetails.jsp;jsessionid=2HzVkXHF1YFDVQqS1zk44B9GCBnOFAhNDT268U6Gr2j2j1lgjaY5!-1793800100!182751442!7005!7002?selectSkuId=sanyoscp4900&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2421&CURRENT_USER%3C%3EATR_SCID=ECOMM&CURRENT_USER%3C%3EATR_PCode=None&CURRENT_USER%3C%3EATR_cartState=group&bmUID=1040675605730]Sanyo 4900[/url]. If you sign up for 2 years you get free PCS to PCS (mobile to mobile) service.
The sales person claimed that service is available in most of Mexicali as well. They stated that they've used their phone (w/o roaming) around Costco and that's good enough for me.
Anyone have Sprint locally? |
I have Verizon and their service is decent. I get pretty good service in the mountains and around town. When I cross the border I've gotten service all the way to la Uni.
Still, Verizon's warranty sucks. Its like 4 bucks a month, and you still have to pay a $50 deductible. What a rip-off. Plus, you can't upgrade your phone.
I thought Sprint was the worst service you could get.
Have you thought about T-mobile. I just know that Catherine is hot. I'm a simple man. Put a hot chick on a commercial and I will listen.
If you plan to get Nextel, please, PLEASE, have the fuckin' courtesy to not use the walkie-talkie in public. I don't want to know if you like your eggs over easy, or if you have to pick up your dry cleaning. |
