Thanks to Google's evil video search technology, I was able to pull up the transcript of the popular Cops television show where a former Calexico police officer talks about his background and what he's about to do on the job:

This text is almost saddening. I don't know the exact specifics as to why Officer Luna was removed from his post, so I won't try to explain, but it sounds like this guy should be here if he really cares about this town.

The show took place in another city. He's just telling the camera guy some background info on himself. |

| Mark pulled out his gun on various ocassions while off-duty in Calex during diff confrontations. maybe that's one reason he's in Indio PD if correct. |

Mark made som very unpopular arrest of some official or city big wig and was basically black balled. Typical of Calexico Politics. He worked for the Sheriffs office and then went to the better paying job in Indio.  |

That's what I heard to.
According to one of the versions out there the mayor at the time got off. |

Did some homework on this. (Man, you guys got me hooked!) Luna stopped a councilman and arrested him for DUI. The councilman was leaving a victory party in his honor and I found out he passed up several drunk drivers and targeted that person specifically. Luna was a reserve cop and was promised a full time paying job if he got that person. Luna also parked outside this same person's house months later and stopped him for having a suspended license. Unfortunately for luna, the councilman had a good license afterall and he had to release him after being handcuffed and sitting in the back seat of the cop car. I know the councilman's name, but I don't think I should mention it here. But if he was DUI, oh well. But it's a fact he was arrested later, then released without charges for the license charge. The councilman filed a lawsuit, then later withdrew it.
Luna was also caught drinking at a local bar, mike's place. He was a minor then. Another local cop caught him and reported him to the chief of police. The local cop got blackballed by the PD clique (you know who I'm talking about Gryphon1) for snitching off luna, and luna was suspended as a reserve. Luna was protected from being fired because he always had the cops at his house in Calecia drinking all night, and while being a minor. I also know who the cop was that caught luna. He's Calecia born. I know his sister.
SAd thing is, Luna's dad is Horacio Luna from the lumber yard off of Emerson AVenue. Passed away several years ago. A really nice guy. The Gun Club is named after him. In this case, the apple dropped off far away from the tree. |
