There seems to be quite a few people (rumored to be) from the Imperial Valley who have at once in their lifetime made it big. Some of these people that I can recall of the top of my head right now are:

- Cher, Singer/Actress (El Centro)
- Tony Hawk, Skateboarder (Brawley?)
- Dave Navarro, Musician (Calexico?)
- Kiki Camarena, DEA Snitch (Calexico)
- Glen Cadrez, Football Player (El Centro)
- Maromero Paez, Boxer/Clown (Mexicali)

Who else?

The other day I saw a car commercial on TV that had "Cars" as the background music. That song reminded me of another famous person from the valley:

Dino Cazares, guitarist for Fear Factory (El Centro).

Does Yuma count as the valley? If so, Cesar Chavez was born in Yuma.
