| If your life deppended on it would you go or take a family member to this old death trap? I have not been there, nor will I ever be. Has anyone experienced good/bad service there? |

I haven't been there, yet really don't understand what the problem is. This is obviously not a hospital, so I assume that they only treat minor injuries and medical conditions. Of course no one with an exploding head is going to go there first, so straight to the best hospital in the area it is.
But what is the real problem with the Calexico Health Center? Is it the staff, both doctors and nurses, or is it the fact that it is in Calexico so most expect to receive mediocre service? |

| I have been there and seen them at their best, and their best is everyone elses worst. I have never taken a family member there nor will I ever. They dont have doctors they have PA's (physician assistants) or NP (nurse practitioners) and they dont seem to be prepared to take care of urgent medical needs. yes if your head blows then lets hope someone calls 911 cuz thats your better bet. At least through the 911 system you can be flown from the scene to a trauma center. And in the case of a severe illness the Health Center will call 911 anyways. |
