First, the website and its "sources" are not a very reilabe source so I don't believe 98.9999 percent of what it said.
Second, if he is advocating for to have secret abuse scandal in the church than he will be in my hit list.
Until then, I would not believe anything that was said until a respectable news organization proves that what is he accused of is real.
Thank You. |

Well if The Guardian isn't credible, then... well... there is a god. |

I'm not saying that he will or won't be. I'm only posting accurate information about the new pope.
Now if Catholics aren't willing to believe this, then I must say the church has done its job very well. |

| Why do they select an old fart for a pope who will most likely kick off with in five years. They should pick a younger person who will stick around a while. Seems like an obvious choice to me. |

One reason would be so that the world can gawk at their television sets more frequently.
Another reason would be so that Catholics will have something new to renew their faith more frequently. For example, in Radiodud terms, if Hulk Hogan would have never lost the WWF World Heavyweight Championship belt, this organization would no longer be in existance because you knew that the Hulkster would not lose. After a while, this gets boring.
John Paul II was getting boring. |

| I think that if John Paul II would be "getting boring", so many people would not have attended his funeral, much less be asking to make him a Saint. And Cardinal Ratzinger is not an old fart, in fact he is one of the best theologians that there is in the World today. He is a bright man and was chosen by the Holy Spirit to lead the biggest church in the World today. Which is another reason why JPII was not getting boring, because if he were, it would not be the biggest chruch in the world today................. |

I'm not complaining, I'm just telling it like it is.
Anybody remember that the catholic church forgave Hitler?
What did Pope John Paul II do about the catholic priests who molested kids? Ohh he transferred them to other churches where they can molest new kids.
I'm catholic myself (not that I actually go to church), and the reason I stopped going is cause I actually started reading the bible for myself and found out that the catholic religion does a lot a shit that goes against the bible.
I recommend you all read "The woman that rides the beast", it talks about Apocalypses, and how the Anti-Christ will enter through the Vatican, and since most people such as RadioDude will do anything that the Pope does, that's when hell's gonna break loose.

Pato, I see that you like to read and watch documentaries.
If this is really the case, I recommend you to read the following:
Available at both SDSU and IVC libraries, these books are based on documented FACTS and not religious opinions.
What makes you think the "bible" is the "only source" of "the truth" or "God's word" as to complain that the Catholic Church as gone beyond the "bible"? The bible is a collection of books selected out of a gigantic recopilation of many books and different beliefs of early christianity. By the way, it was during Roman Empire times that bishops selected the bible books as "holy" word of God.
Have you read about the Dead Sea Scrolls which some of its ancient writings sharply contrast with the actual "bible"?
The Bible as History, Don't Know Much About the Bible , and the complete Cambridge History of the Bible will help you a lot.
The Jews Under Italian Occupation
The Vatican always acted as a neutral negotiator of peace between Allies (US and England) and Axis (Germany and Italy) during world war II had to be extremely careful as not to arise any suspicious anti-Nazi movement, guess why, because the Vatican is in ROME, capital of Italy, a country allied with Hitler at the time. Logically, how are you supposed to become an ally of the United States under that situation??? And what is more logical, you cannot simply start uncooperating with the country you are just located in. Despite all this, there is documented evidence of hundreds of local priests and bishops turning against the Nazis and the Italian Soldiers during the war always refused to send jews to the concentration camps, this pissed off the Nazi government but still the "upper hierarchy" of the Church had no choice but to remain neutral.
Unfortunately after the war years, some groups have twisted these facts switching and changing words of neutrality into "coolaboration," just like journalists and other propagandists do, and people simply have a tendency to believe anything they hear in the radio/tv, etc. |

yes, I agree with egb because people loved JPII with all of their hearts and he was never getting boring. Some of us wish that he could be with us forever but that was not possible. John Paul the Second will never get boring because he will be with us until the end. |
