So will you be one of those fanatics that bow down and kiss the new pope's hand just cause he (a sinner) will be elected (by other sinners)? The more shit I see going on in the Catholic church, the more I think that they're full of shit. I was watching part of the cardinal's get together this morning, and their little song they were singing and the big building they were in gave me the creeps.

Easy, pato,
everybody understands how you feel, but you will accept that these men are humans, not gods or semi-gods themselves.
Why are you complaining about some minor corruption (such as sinners and other irregularities) whether it is the Catholic or any other Church with a status of large institution???
I read once in one of your posts that we all had a "little corruptness" in us; the door swings both ways, deal with humans just like you deal with yourself. |

I'm not complaining, I'm just telling it like it is.
Anybody remember that the catholic church forgave Hitler?
What did Pope John Paul II do about the catholic priests who molested kids? Ohh he transferred them to other churches where they can molest new kids.
I'm catholic myself (not that I actually go to church), and the reason I stopped going is cause I actually started reading the bible for myself and found out that the catholic religion does a lot a shit that goes against the bible.
I recommend you all read "The woman that rides the beast", it talks about Apocalypses, and how the Anti-Christ will enter through the Vatican, and since most people such as RadioDude will do anything that the Pope does, that's when hell's gonna break loose. |

Pato, pato, pato.... I don't think that the Catholic Church forgave Hitler, what did happen is God forgave Hitler, much like Jesus did when he was on the cross and forgave the Jews who put him there. God forgives everyone who repents, even you......
Now about the who priest abuse scandal, I totally agree, it was wrong and those priests who did that should not be in ministry. And those Bishops who covered for them should also be taken out of the leadership from their Diocese, but that has nothing to do with JPII. I am sure that he personally did not know each and every case that was going on, much less have them moved. In addition, many of this stuff occurred in the 60's and 70's when he was still in Poland.
So I agree that the abuse scandal was something difficult and painful for the Church, we must now look at what the future and God hold for the Church................. |

This is the exact problem with you religious assholes. You use "God" as an excuse to everything. "It was God's will". "God forgave him/her". "Yeah dude, I molest kids and enjoy donkey punching old men, but it's okay because God will forgive me". You people need to understand that this "God" character(whoever or whatever it may be or if it exists) does not give a shit about anyone. It does not appoint popes to rule the world, it does not appoint low IQ, ex-drug addict ,redneck, war mongering assholes to run the country, and does not control what human beings do, say, or think. A pope has the power that it is given not by God, but by retards who proclaim him "god's messenger". So keep it up you ignorant assholes, we'll have you to thank if we have a pope that becomes the next Hitler. |

| Wow, talk about someone being bitter. The good thing is that we religious folks have this being we call "God" and don't need to be bitter. I would recommend anyone who does not believe in God as the being the highest good that there can be to read some Plato, Anselm and maybe even Thomas Aquinas. Oh, but that might be to much to ask............ |

| It has been understood that the issue of religion over the centuries has been a very tuff subject to discuss without getting fanatical about ones belief's and I think that we should respect religious beliefs for what they are, beliefs. I dont think that any religion on earth has the answer to all the questions one may have about how we came about religiously, but we all know that just like in any family there are those that dont follow rules and laws, such as those referring to rape and murder or child abuse, the church and any religious movement is not excempt from getting those in their rank and file. They are human, and will make mistakes (sin) just like you and I do. Now something that was sort of comical about the smoke was that they had white smoke comming out at first from the chiminey and then it turned black, white would have signaled a new pope had been chosen, but man they had me and many other people worldwide thinking that they had made a decision to appoint someone already....I felt like a SSSUcKERRRR... |
