| has anyone noticed the Calexico High School Band? guess not....they've earned superiors (highest score) at three Major Band And Orchestra Festivals...and are going to regionals in about two weeks(regionals is equivalent of "state" like in football......they've won the sweepstakes at the Cattle Call, First place at the Tamale Festival, First place at the Holtville Carrot Parade, and were accepted to march down mainstreat at One of disneylands parades in May.....i guess they're making up for the sucky Sports department.... |

Congratulations to the Calexico High School Band. It's about time they won something. I remember when Central was the only local high school band getting recognition. |

that's so great!they don't have mr. pond as their dircetor anymore, do they? does anyone know who their director is?
gah, i remember how hard being in marching band was. give it up for the band geeks of calexico! |

| the new director is Mr. Mark Lucas, this is barely his second year at CHS.....from what i know of him, he's a good all around guy, goofy and silly, but great teacher and very smart......mr. pond is at Southwest Highschool.... |

Yeah, we performed at open house and every once in a while for the special ed kids, so must have seen us perform then. |
