Also Juniors on Adams Ave. in El Centro serves fast, good sized portions of good american dishes at an affordable price.

Yeah, good service, the only down side is that they only take cash. I haven't gone back to this place since elchrist, revramrod, and I went and thought that the other guys had cash on them.

I've never paid with so many pennies before.

speaking of adams, puerto nuevo is pretty good, the service is good, the waitresses are pretty, and the food isnt bad at all. the prices can get a little high but what could we expect from a sea-food restaurant.

They take Visa and MasterCard now, so this isn't a problem anymore.

I'm thinking they have the best burgers in the Imperial Valley now.

I think the owner (main cook) knows it's all about good food AND great service. He seems to make it a point to go out to the tables and help out with the orders, cleaning, refills, payment, etc.

Too bad it closes after lunch.

Anyway, props to this waiter at the Calexico Denny's. If Calecia.com had an annual best food server award, I'd be nominated you.

Calecia.com 2005 Best Food Server Nominee: Calexico Denny's Waiter Guy

Why don't you just overdo it and have Calecia.com awards for everything? Best Food Server, but also something like Best Food Place, Best Looking Waitresses, etc? Or if you really want to exaggerate, come up with awards like Best C.com Poster, Worst C.com Poster, Most Annoying C.com Poster (I could probably be up for that one) and so on. Food for thought.

We have very much thought about this throughout the years, but never found the right prize/trophy/plaque to honor the winners/losers with.

How about some coupons for food? Have you thought of having an actual awards ceremony?
