heard Castillo seen chillin around the new mall last week. i wonder if training is over one month before the fight. most fighters train at high altitudes, is Castillo training at La Rumorosa?
Mandalay Bay, Sat, May 7.
JOSE LUIS CASTILLO
“You (Corrales’ team) already knocked me out and I have not even stepped into the ring yet. At least give me a chance. I am going to win.”
“Hopefully more Mexicans will make the trip to support me here in Las Vegas.”
“This fight will be like two buffaloes colliding. We are going to work the body as well as the chin. After watching tape, we noticed that Corrales does not move around a lot. He stays in the middle. One of Corrales’ strengths is his intelligence in the ring. Some people think his constantly coming forward is a weakness. I think it is a strength.”
“I am going to move up in weight in Sept. I expect to fight for a few more years. I promote boxers in Mexicali. I am also into Real estate.”
DIEGO CORRALES
“The internal stuff between me, Artie (Pelullo) and Gary (Shaw) is over. I have one job and that is to defend my title and unify the 135-pound division. I am here for a war. I am here for a battle. It starts in round one.
“We are so far ahead of schedule in our training. You are going to see me bring the fight to him. I do want to make this a fight. You are also going to see my really strong jab.
“Castillo is the best lightweight fighter in the division other than myself. He is a great champion and I have a lot of respect for him.” |

| Is this the same Corrales that broke down a during a couple of fights and started crying and giving up in the middle of the fight? Maybe about four years ago or so? |

| He had a terrible performance against Mayweather jr. Got KO'd and wasnt really in the fight that night. He got his 1.5mil though, ha. Corrales was going through a domestic violence court thing during that time, since that loss he's bounced back to beat casamayor and freitas. |

| Freitas moved up in weight to fight Corrales at 135, Castillo struggles to make weight at 135, he's moving up after this fight. I think Castillo will come out with a win. |

The fight was awesome. I haven't seen a fight where two guys stand in front of each other for 10 round and unload shot after shot.
It was a great fight until the very end. I felt cheated because Corrales pulled some dirty ass shit. He purposely spat out his mouth piece two times that gave him valuable time to unleash that clean hit on Castillo. I guess that without that extra time he would not have landed that shot on Castillo. |
