I was going through some old videos I had at home of movies my family had recorded off television a few years ago, and I came accross one called 'Rosencrantz and Gildenstern Are Dead'(1990). It stars Tim Roth and Gary Oldman as Rosencrantz and Gildenstern from 'Hamlet'. It is the story, as told by someone else(not Shakespeare), of Hamlet's two friends and how they are significant to the story. I know this sounds pompous, but it's not that kind of movie. It makes fun of the story 'Hamlet' and is hilarious. If you liked 'The Princess Bride' I think you'll like this one, as well. The way 'Princess Bride' made fun of fairy tales and adventure stories, 'Rosencrantz...' makes fun of Shakespearean type tales. Anyway, check it out if you can find it. Ours was originally recorded off Bravo in 1994, I think.
