Like men, it's hard to come by a good one.

I'd used the same alarm clock for about 4 years and it worked perfectly. It had a decent sounding cd player, played AM and FM radio, and had probably the loudest and most annoying buzzer I'd ever heard. Then, recently the cd player stopped working, and about a week ago, the buzzer stopped being reliable. It picked its days to work. Anyways, I would have bought the same one, but it was discontinued about a year ago.

So a couple of days ago, I scuddled off to Wal-Mart to try and find a new alarm clock, I paid about 25 bucks for one, figuring it would work pretty well. What I got was a Magnavox MCR 230

This thing must have some kind of silencer built in. I'm definitely returning it.

Anyone have one that they recommend?

Here's one feature I hadn't heard of before: bed shaker.

If you sleep 20 minutes every 4 hours then you won't need an alarm.
So go take a nap.

I think I'm just going to hire a calling service.
