| I know there are some members of Calecia.com that like the Angry Samoans, so if anyone is interested, they will be playing Saturday, January 8th at the Showcase Theater in Corona, CA. I found out about this a few days ago and I'll be going. Tickets are available at the Ticketmaster at Ritmo Latino. |

I saw Angry Samoans for the first and only time a few years ago at (I forgot the club name) in Ocean Beach/San Diego. They totally kicked ass.
Metal Mike was wearing a WNBA Seattle Storm jersey and didn't really seem to care that anyone would laugh at him. He looks like an 80 year old man. When he hit the stage to setup his equipment, I didn't even recognize him and thought he was the roadie.
The music sounds just as energetic as ever. I'd go check them out again, but I don't think I'd be able to make it.
Have you heard the EP 90's Suck And So Do You they put out a few years ago that sounds nothing that them? I liked it. |

That show was at Dream Street.
What was great about that show was that the Adolescents' van broke down on the way to the show and the Angry Samoans had to play a longer set to fill up the missing time.
Incidentally, I came upon the pictures from that show a few days ago while I was doing some cleaning. |

Yes, the show fucking kicked ass. Metal Mike, again, was wearing the same outfit elchrist mentioned and they also set up their own equipment. They where hanging out around the theater during the opening bands' performances just talking to everyone that approached them and gave a few autographs. During "They Saved Hitler's Cock", Metal Mike even gave me the microphone (as he was doing throughout the show to anyone standing way in the front) and I sang the part that says "Hitler's cock is on the loose/And I'm afraid of what it wants to do".
Memorable quotes from the show:
"San Diego sucks!" - Metal Mike
"Two rules only. Don't trash the equipment and don't hurt the old guys. You wouldn't want to hurt us anyway, trust me". - Bill
"Who would drive a fucking Pinto? Only some fuckhead from Pasadena, which is the city we're from". |

They've got two more dates coming up. One this Friday at the Knitting factory in Hollywood and the next day they'll be playing at the Legion Hall in Ventura.

I say we try and get them to come to the Imperial Valley. That would be awesome. |

Once again, these awesome punk rockers are returning to California. They will be playing at the Anarchy Library in Downey on the 21st of this month. I will more than likely be going. It would be cool to see some fellow C.com comrades there also. Drinks are on me.*

Anyone going to the (Dead Kennedys) Angry Samoans show on Sunday, January 29th at House of Blues San Diego?
$15 bones gets you in. Well worth it to see the Angry Samoans and leave early if DK without Jello Biafra just blows. |

I'm probably going. I'm going mostly for the Angry Samoans, and I heard DK is uber shitty without Jello. So with that being said, who's down to go to Scolari's right after the Samoans play their set? |
