Governor names valley residents to water board

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger on Tuesday announced the following appointments to the Colorado River Basin Regional Water Quality Control Board:

John Renison, 56, of Calexico, is director of advancement and public and community affairs for the Imperial Valley Campus of San Diego State University. He also serves as a Calexico City Council member. He previously served as mayor of the city of Calexico. Renison is a Republican.
...
These positions require Senate confirmation and the compensation is $100 per diem.
The nine-member board regulates water quality in the region.

That guy is so deep into the compa system in Calexico its not even funny. Anyway that guy can make a buck he will. Well Id really like to see him do something about the new river. ha ha ha. Never happen. Besides that I hear there is a recall effort on him Ouzan, and Perrone.  |

I completely second that. He is also cheap and has no shame. I heard that a few months back some city workers decided to go out to lunch with him. He had a $40 lunch and made the workers pay for it.
The guy also eats frequently at Ruben's place and feels he doesn't need to pay for the tab. |

I know city employees and people involved in local politics, and they've talked about Renison using city credit cards for furniture for his house, and of contractors doing free work around his house in exchange for loosening of building regulations...among other things. Is that enough to get you off Renison's dick, now? |
