You forgot to add satirical (which is exactly why they say and do all the things you mentioned) and downright hilarious to your list.
While we're on the subject, and since you're the one making the accusation, I challenge you to point out at least one Brujeria song that fits the "cheesy three-chord guitar and out of sync high hat-snare-high hat-snare drumming" song structure I mentioned earlier.

Insightful critique and discussion regarding music? Yes. Nonsense about who's a fag for listening to whomever? No. Anyone who thinks we'll have it any other way is seriously mistaken. (We being elchrist, Spic-ole and I--the people who run Calecia.com.)
I know you have contributed to the other forums, so I'm not speaking about you specifically, but some of the people on here that can't seam to write about anything more profound than music are starting to wear thin. In the grand scheme of things, music is simply a peripheral distraction. If you people really want to get riled up about something, get riled up about our local air quality.
Now, the only on-topic contribution I will make to this thread is the following: the only artist, from any country or music genre, that I can truly state that I think sucks royal turds is Alex "El Tri" Lora.

Exactly. That is the reason why I posted that earlier because we can go on and on about what's good, what sucks, etc., but like I said before, what's the point?

Now, I was not trying to call you a fag for listening to Brujeria (or whatever, for that matter) and I have not done it to anyone in this forum. I'll admit, it was a big mistake on my part for starting a couple threads about what bands are cool, but I seriously think that I have not participated with all the dipshits have talked shit to other members of this forum just because of their taste in music. I have, however, replied in my defense to those same assholes.

Though, I think some people may have gotten the impression that I am a bigger Brujeria fan than I really am. I would have defended David Bowie or GG Allin to the same effect.
I find it amusing that some of the kids that have recently signed up to the site feel the need to enlighten me about Punk bands, for example, when I was listening to most of the bands they cite while they were still crawling around on their parent's kitchen floor. Just because I don't reply back to most of them doesn't mean I don't get a good laugh at their expense.
The best way to deal with these assholes is to simply ignore them. If you don't give them the attention they're looking for, they eventually settle down or go away (or get banned.) Though, sometimes, you simply can't resist replying.

While I don't own any of their music, I don't necessarily change the station if they come on the radio. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I find them to be good background music or filler, especially when you're drinking with your buddies and have the radio on. But then again, what isn't when you're drinking? |

It's true. It does piss me off when these kids talk shit to me about music thinking I don't know anything about what they listen to. I have tried recently to just ignore them (but like you said, sometimes it's pretty fucking hard).
What I simply can't take is that these fuckers cannot understand that one gets older and acquires more tastes as one gets older. I am always going to enjoy a good ole' Black Flag, Circle Jerks, Suicidal Tendecies, GG Allin, etc. record now (and for the rest of my life). I guess these assholes are still not past that stage where the like only one thing. I was at one point at this stage so I guess it's understandable. All we can do is just read their posts and laugh at their naiveness. |

What the fuck is up with them? Are they punk? if so why do they have two guitarist? Why does the odd guitarist try to be gothic? He doesn't macth with the rest of the band mates. |
