| No not the movie. The web browser. I just installed it onto my computer and I have to say I'm pretty impressed. I use a dial up at home and it is much faster than explorer. Have any of y'all heard anything about this? |

Are you saying that it increases the speed of your connection?
Mozilla Firefox is in fact pretty nice. Although I still don't use it as my primary Web browser, I do find myself using it quite often.
There was a time that I was almost ready to drop MSIE for Firefox, but Microsoft released Internet Explorer 6 SP2 and that included pop-up blocking. This no longer meant using any third-party apps to add this feature. Both Mozilla and Firefox have included pop-up ad blocking for quite sometime, although Firefox just quite doesn't feel right enough for me. It may very well end up being that I've been using Internet Explorer as my default browser for the past few years.
I feel that Firefox does excel over IE in many ways. The tabbed browsing is my favorite feature as it makes hitting the meme sites much quicker. The basic feature set also makes it much more streamlined, while any additional functionality could usually be attained with an available extension.
Other nice extensions are Sage, CuteMenus and the handy BugMeNot.
If the Firefox project continues its ways, I do see myself completely switching on to it. For now, it's still MSIE for me when hitting C.com although I do have the FirefoxView extension available when I find a link that is appropriate. |

No Dea, I'm not radiodude. I was just refering the amount of time it takes for me to see the shit on my screen is faster. I am not going to try to use technical jargon as I do not feel like being mocked. |

OK then, Fbi.
If you're referring to to performance, than you kind of right. Firefox does load slower than Internet Explorer, but to give it a boost you can change a setting that will load it up quicker by making it memory resident.
Type the following in the Location bar and hit enter:
about:config
In the Filter input field, type the following and hit enter:
turbo
Firefox will then filter out the configuration setting named:
browser.turbo.enabled
Double-click on that mofo and the value will change to:
true
Restart Firefox. |
