Most of you know by now that KQVO 97.7 is now KPBS of San Diego and for the first time we have NPR here in the Imperial Valley. We have more public radio with news from BBC of London and classical music.
I was lisening to KPBS yestuday and when their i.D said this " THIS is KPBS on 89.9 in San Diego and KQVO 97.7 Calexico"
That was cool!
Know I think San Diego is asking Where is Calexico? |

| Well I say it what about time they found our little spot in the earth on the map. This city will grow in a way no one can imagine. Soon we might be San Calexico or something. Well I hope Calexico gets noticed even more so that we dont feel to alone. |

I Knew that you would like it and its pretty good. They still dont have local programming but they will have it in the future. Looks like our KUBO will have competition from now on with Public Radio. Now we will have to become stronger! Hellside, would you move the NRP in Calexico if they invited you to be part of them?
Just wondering. |

Alright,
Me too for two things:
One, the station is located in Calexico
Two, the type of network that NPR is fits the type of show that I have. They still don't have local programming like we do but I think they wiil have in the future.
Expect to have people from KUBO defecting to KPBS. One thing I do hope is that if they accept local programming I hope they pay their employes....including those who have radio show. That would be fun. Although there is bad blood between me and someone who used to work at KQVO that I made fun of that person for going there and now I feel bad about it,I would go if that can make my show stronger.
I really hope they pay. I was lisening to KPBS yesturday and they don't have anything from 7-12pm only classical music. They have news from london form 5-7pm. That would be a good time slot for us. Don't you think? |

Maybe they will only have people from SDSU because somehow they obtain, at least the minimum amount of intellect required to be at the local campus, which really isn't saying much, I have been in classes there wondering how the hell did this people make it this far.
Radiodude, if you want to move to this station or whatever you should get yourself some knee pads and find the right people to blow. |
