Quite some time ago I was asked if I wanted to play Renton again and I said no - it's a funny thing to go back. I've never done it before - except for the Star Wars character - and I thought it was best left. What if you made a sequel to Trainspotting and it wasn't good? It would be a terrible shame. But then I read the book and went, "Ah, it's fantastic!" 'Cause it was so nice to find what they're all up to, you know. Sick boy and wee Spud and Begbie - fuckin' hell…so we'll see. The only thing to say is that if the script is good enough you'd go for it. I've lost that immediate negative feeling I won't do it"." |

| I hope not. I love the original. That's what made it so good, it was original. Don't get me wrong, if they make it, I'll go see it. But, I really don't think it could be anywhere near as good. If it made a good book, leave it at that. Most of the time, sequels are okay, at best. Besides, this isn' the type of story a sequel should be made out of. Anyway, that's what I think. |

I agree Analyze That sounds like a piece of shit! the first one was ok.
But don't you agree that Meet the parents sequel sounds good?
I agree with you on the point that all movies don't need a sequel, Trainspotting doesn't need one just like the Matrix doesn't need one. |
