I rather pay more and have Shitty service then buy at Wallmart...They'll never have that juicy "lomo con diesmillo" for my "carne asada" that the local markets have. or the fresh vegetables, straight from the fields.. stlll smelling like pesticide.
But, Wallmart still won't be able to compete whith the prices at Santo Tomas supermarket.

Hope this Wallmart is never build, and if it does, hope these places don't disappear or raise their prices....

NO, dea. I'm just glad I got to see it before the walmart thing goes up. It is sad that once you climb up those steps to the top of el templo del sol you'll probable get an awsome view of wal-mart. It sucks.

But since you give so much of a shit, go fucking chain yourself to a tree or something then.

Well, apparently Teotihuacan's goverment dropped the ball (or took a big mordida) because they never consulted an archeologist about the building of this store. Now that Wal-Mart has the permits to build, they can proceed.

I'm sure the majority of Teotihuacans have no clue as to the ramifications of the new Wal-Mart. This has just opened the door to more large commercial businesses that will begin to pollute the air and water. The semis with their black smoke stacks alone will be a nice sight from the pyramids. Wal-Mart is being told to conceal their building as much as possible with the use of trees and so forth.

Also, supposedly people in surrounding areas are being told to not shop at WMT owned businesses. You think that's going to happen?
