The Olympic Games have already started, but is anyone watching?
I am. I've seen a few of the sporting events, from swimming to gymanstics, and it is pretty interesting to watch. I think it has to do with it simply being a global competition that intrigues many, otherwise not many would sit and watch a 200m Freestyle swimming competion.
I've also witnessed Mexico practically get eliminated from the soccer tournament, while Ricardo LaVolpe sports his new hairdo. In the meantime, Iraq has won 2 matches to advanced to the next round. I wonder if Iraq is really that good or are they getting some kind of break, since this nation is currently very popular.
Team USA for basketball was beaten today by Puerto Rico. I didn't see the game, so I cannot comment on this much. Regardless, there's no excuse to lose when you have a roster full of all-stars in the "Dream Team."
Have you been watching and if so, what are you thoughts? |

In an interview from SI.com, Allen Iverson actually said:
"They play the game the way it's supposed to be played. It's not about athletics. That's the game the way Karl Malone and John Stockton play it. It's good for kids to see how the game is supposed to be played."
Because they're not going to see it in the NBA.
By the way, "Ha! Ha!" |

I was watching the backstroke swimming competition and a Japanese swimmer beat out an American by a few milliseconds. The NBC announcer then starting suggesting that the man from Japan cheated.
WTF? Can't another nation win without accusations? |

| I have watched a little of the Games. It's the only time that anyone pays attention to swimmers, gymnasts, fencers, etc. But some events are a bit unnecessary. In gymnastics, they now have a trampoline competition. Trampoline?! How do you score that one? And let's not forget the equestrian event of dressage, which in essence, is just a guy on a horse posing. Let the Games run their course. |

| Are horses jumping over walls and puddles really a damn sport? This should not be in the olympics, cause it's the horses doing the physical activity, not the jockeys. |

I've been watcing the Olympic basketball games, and every one is hating on the US. All these fucks think they can beat the USA fuck that. They are really struggling with outside shooting but each game they have been playing better, by the next round they should have their shit together.
I must say that I see Lebron James in a whole new light, every time he is on the floor he takes charge and good shit happens. Brown sees this, that is why james played the whole fourth quarter against Australia.
Before any one starts I know they haven't played any real comp and still have struggled but they will get this shit. |

All I have to say is that they lost. Ginoblli was on fire. Ref's sucked through out the whole tourny, both teams got some bad calls and non-calls, Duncan had some fouls called on him that where pretty shady, had he not fouled out, I believe the outcome would have been different. |
