As you all know it rained pretty hard Friday afternoon. As usual my wipers were torn and frayed so I had to go buy a new set. The first thing I noticed as I entered the AutoZone parking lot was a couple of people replacing their wipers in the parking lot, and the first thing I noticed when I entered the store was a long line at the register, the majority of people holding wiper blades in their hands. As I looked for wipers for my car, I began wondering whether this is an Imperial Valley thing, a California thing, or just a procrastinator thing.
I'm not sure what the answer is, but I do know that every time it rains I need new wiper blades. I use them that day, then I'll occasionally use them to clean my windshield, but by the time it rains again they're torn and frayed and I go through this rainy day ritual once again. |

| A little thing I learned from my dad was to leave on an old pair and keep a good pair in your car and only use them when it rains. This way the heat won't eat up your good pair, plus they last longer. It works for me. |

if you don't keep a close eye on your wipers and let them become useless and brittle, then by god you deserve what you get.
