A couple days after the Calexico in Calexico concert, I sat down to watch the Calexico - World Drifts In - Live At The Barbican DVD and thought it was great live concert captured on film. The performance was similar to that of the city of Calexico show, except of course in London, England.

I don't own many music concert videos, but have watched quite a few in the past that have left a memorable impression. One is Ministry: In Case You Didn't Feel Like Showing Up from 1990 available only on VHS. This was a great performance that captured all that is (or was) the band Ministry.

Another one I recall vewing as quite entertaining was Gwar: Live from Antarctica, which is also quite graphic.

Is there a live music concert you recommending viewing?

I recently saw Rage Against the Machine:Battle of Mexico City. It was a very good performance and the DVD has some special features like an interview with Comandante Marcos, a few moments with Rage before the concert, and Tom Morello's tour of Mexico City. Another one that I saw was Queen: We Will Rock You. It was recorded live in Montreal in 1981. I am not a big fan of Queen but I've got to say that it is one of the best recorded live performances I have ever seen. Another good one was Los Fabulosos Cadillacs:MTV Unplugged. You might have to bootleg this one of the internet or try to catch it on Direct TV.

ElWusso lent me his DVD and I thought it was pretty amazing. I think he's not getting it back, unless he personally responds to this message.

I purchased the Manu Chao DVD at Ritmo Latino a few days ago. It is some of the best live recorded shit you could find. I also purchased "Voodoo Glow Skulls: Holmes Movies". This isn't really a live concert but it has videos and footage, including the times when they have played in Mexicali.

Oh, come on man. Don't be bitter about that. Just get a hold of the DVD and see some of what you've been missing out on.

To be honest, I couldn't care less; I was never a big fan.
