The other day I got a copy of the store plan for the new Imperial Valley Mall. After reviewing it, I realized that this wasn't going to be some "Mickey Mouse" shopping mall that we may all be expecting, but it most definitely won't be anything compared to San Diego's Fashion Valley Mall.

Listed below, in no specific order, are the stores that are currently listed in the plan:

Sears
Patty's Hallmark
Kiddie Kandids
K-B Toys
Guess Co.
Pac Sun
Thomas Cook
Sports Image
Master Cuts
GNC
Nextel
Game Stop
Claire's
Burgers and Beer
Payless Shoe Source
Wilson's Leather
Motherhood
Sheikh Shoes
Sweet Factory
Child's Play
Optim Eyes
Robinsons May
Kay Jewelers
Zales
d.e.m.o.
American Eagle
Hot Topic
Foot Locker
Journey's
Aeropostale
Gap
Hollister
Anchor Blue
Icing
Limited Too
Tilly's
Finish Line
N.Y. & Co.
The Children's Place
Forever 21
Victoria's Secret & Victoria's Secret Beauty
Express
Bath & Body
fye
Baker's
Charlotte Russe
Trade Secret
Lane Bryant
Gloria Jean's
Kirkland's
Jagged Edge
David & Son's Jewelry
Benzene
Gymboree
Rave
Daniel's Jewelry
Auntie Anne's
5-7-9
Vitamin World
The Edge
Garlan's
Afterhours Formal Wear
Just Sports
Spencer Gifts
Ark Christian Books
Fast Fix
Lids
Lenscrafters
La Galleria de Maria
California Nails
JC Penny
Dillard's
Mrs. Fields
Marble Slab
Charley's
Rubio's
Chinese Gourmet
Frullati (?)
Subway
Bamboo Bistro
Cajun Cafe
Italian Express

...There's also plenty of unassigned locations which may have already been reserved judging by the date of the diagram.

Biggest dissapointment? No damn book store such as Borders or Barnes & Noble.

Goddamn, how many clothing stores does this mall really need? Yeah, a bookstore would've been nice. I'm just glad that we're getting a Gamestop. That place is cool.

Somebody should open up a book store at the mall where all they sell are issues of "El Libro Vaquero."

You know, those little comic books that you can buy near the border that are half comic book, half porno-mag.

You know the kind. The one's your dad keeps in his sock drawer.

There's nothing about an expected opening date, but I believe it's around April 2004.
