"vincebus eruptum" by blue cheer - heavy psychedilic shit from the late 60's
"greatest hits" by the jam - the jam were super awesome. 'in the city' is a classic.
"feathers" by dead meadow - stoner rock, yo
"the forgotten arm" by aimee mann - another great album from the singer/songwriter. the main character of the album is a fighter and it tells the story of his crumbling relationship.
"bird & miles" by charlie parker and miles davis - gotta love that bebop, man.
2 more
"rejoicing in the hands" by devendra banhart - beautiful acoustic guitar and a heavenly voice. you really gotta check him out.
"girls of war" by die monitr batss - kinda post-punk/dirty/fuckedup/poppy/rockin' stuff

i'm done.

Test Icicles - For Screening Purposes Only is pretty good.

I first heard a song of theirs on the Sirius college radio channel (on Dish Network) and also noticed they were going to play at The Casbah on March 11, but apparently cancelled their U.S. tour.

I heard a lot about them, but never actually heard their music.

does anyone here use Last.fm?
it tracks all the music you listen to on your computer through itunes, winamp, etc.
it saves you the breath of asking someone what they're listening to. it's really neat. all you have to do is install the plug-in and you're set.
http://www.last.fm
my userpage: http://www.last.fm/user/salmonjanet
get one. add me.
