820 AM is a fun station. one time they played "the final countdown" by europe. and if you haven't heard that song i feel bad for you. it's the best song ever! they also play songs ranging from the 60's to the 90's. some songs are good, and some are bad.
but 88.7fm has some good shows after 4pm. if you're into like franz ferdinand, the killers, neil young, the beatles, the strokes, and the flaming lips, listen to my friend's show tonight(friday) from 9-12.
here's the schedule for different shows on 88.7
but i don't want to stray from the subject too much(i think i did) cos there's already been a radio station thread.
i saw the killers play on jimmy kimmel and the drummer makes funny faces and looks like chevy chase. he's cool.
and i played a franz ferdinand song on my show last night. |

my friend saw the thermals open up for sleater-kinney last march. she said the singer was very smelly. they're pretty good, though. |

la Zona 820 is an AM station from mexicali. if you're into rock, and specifically classic rock. it is a fucking hell of a station to listen to. the moment they played the animals, iggy pop, t. rex, the velvet underground, david bowie, and lou reed....well they had me. of course they play the typical classic rock bands like stones, beatles, who, and led zeppelin. and you also have to put up with disgusting shit like van halen, boston, aerosmith, and you know shit like that. and yes, as was previously mentioned, they have played europe. fuck!! oh well.....its good though.
88.7...hmm...is rev radio still on? |

| i downloaded the new sonic youth album "sonic nurse" off of soulseek. shhh. i had to hear it and i don't have any money. anyway, it's great. they're playing tuesday night(tomorrow) in sd at soma. i'll be there. |

For quite a while now, I've been listening to the best rock 'n' roll band currently in existance. It is refreshing to hear a band rock the fuck out of all the other bands that you have all been listening to and claim as your favorite. Well, let me tell you that the band you like sucks and comes no where near this one.
This band I am referring to will totally blow your eardrums away and place you in a euphoric state that only ends minutes after the last track completes.
I'd like to share this band with you, but then all you posers would tell your friends, making them too popular and my interest in them would die. I've seen it happen a million times before and I won't allow it to happen again.
This band, the best rock 'n' roll band, rocks the fuck on. You only wish you knew who they were. |
