Chill out Verbal, how can you want LaVolpe to quit just cause Mexico lost 4-0 to Brazil? This is Mexico's first loss in an official game in the LaVolpe era. Are you gonna divorce your wife after the first argument you have with her too? Let's face it, Mexico was inferior in the aerial game vs Brazil, but not to the point of losing 4-0. The referee had a lot to do with the score, calling a penalty for brazil's first goal, and not calling a very clear penalty on Mexico. These calls I'm sure frustrate the hell out of the players which lead them to not play to their full potential. This is not the first time that referee's fuck over Mexico, but Mexico did deserve to lose this game, but not 4-0.
C. Blanco was not allowed to play in the Copa America cause he's suspended from playing for 1 year in South American competitions after the fight in the Copa Libertadores he caused.

Sports is all about what have you done for me lately. Plain and simple.
Divorce, why the fuck would you get a divorce if you never got married.
Lavolpe needed a strong showing in the cup which he did but all that was nullified by his poor control of his team.
While the National team did finish in 1st place in a very tough division, the team needed a better showing.
Here are some apparent holes in Lavolpe's coaching/adjustments. His bread and butter, the defense, was not a very strong unit. Lack of ball control. How many times did they have possession of the ball against Brazil and Argentina?
The formula has been set. If you want to beat Mexico then all you have to do is press their defenders when they have the ball.
Forwards, yes there are no forwards in Mexico, but is he really showing a plan? I'll start these two today, and switch them the next game and so on.
I was a Lavolpe fan, but I think he just showed his true limitations with this team. He's out. There's no loyalty in sports if you want to win it all. |

| continuity is the key. and a new coach in the national team will not save mexico. they need players, and sadly mexico is lacking. when lavolpe makes this claim everybody in mexico and especially the fucking televisos go shit crazy. people need to pull the fucking mexican flag from over their eyes and realize this. hugo and his digusting nationalism along with the rest of his fascist drones will not be the solution. and yes i agree though, lavolpe has made some mistakes, but c'mon! so did aguirre, lavolpe, mejia baron, bora, etc. jesus fucking christ! lavolpe has gotten us into the olympoics and gave us teh championship at the gold cup, so i do believe we owe him some more time. |

I agree. Mexico cannot get rid of LaVolpe just yet. He has accomplished a lot during his time as the DT for the national team. If a new coach comes in, it's starts all over again. It would most likely be Hugo Sanchez as the new coach, but this will not guarantee any success. Hugo has proven himself in the Mexican league, but not in international matchups. Remember, Pumas got beat badly by River Plate this last weekend and have you all forgotten who got ejected from the game?
The players will need to get readjusted to a new coach, although there is plenty of time until the upcoming World Cup. What needs to be done is improve upon the existing gameplay and hope that Freddy Adu becomes a Mexican national in less than two years.
No, but seriously, LaVolpe is the coach and he must stay. Plus he smokes on the field, so that's a big plus. |

Argentina almost wins it by scoring a goal in the last minutes of regulation time, but then Brazil ties it up with less than one minute left in extra time.
Penalty shots: Argentina chokes with their first two.
I'm a little relieved to know that Mexico is not the only country that can completely fuck things up. |
