|
|
| There's a new Chinese food restaurant located at the Valley Plaza in El Centro, that's not yet in the Food & Drink section. It's called the Fortune Inn (or something like that), and has been open for about 3 months. The owner used to work at Lucky Chinese Restaurant, and took most of Lucky's staff with him when he opened his restaurant. I tried one of the lundh specials (chicken chow-mein, pork-fried rice, and BBQ pork). It was quite good, and the portions where quite healthy. I highly recommend it whenever you're in the mood. |

| The place is called fortune house and the owner told a friend of mine that when he was opening up the place, in walked like seven Lucky employee's who had just quit. I like the place, the food is similar to Lucky's but it is a lot cleaner establishment. That is where I go for chinese. |

| This place is so good. I'm not a big fan of Chinese food, but Fortune House has it going on. May I recommend the half roast duck. It's moderately priced (considering its duck) and is one of the best things I've ever tasted. |

I had the M today that consists of Mongolian Beef, Egg Rolls, and Rice all for 5.25. I exchanged the egg rolls for BBQ pork and ordered a side of egg rolls. For the first time ever there wasn't an extra charge for switching items around.
The Mongolian Beef was good (not great), egg rolls were great, the BBQ pork was too thickly cut and a little dry, and the rice was good too. The portions were more than I could handle and I left plenty of food. This place is definately good and for 5.25 (lunch specials) you can't go wrong. |
