Yeah, because everyone in Calexico reads the OC Weekly and knows what he looks like. |
The writer is from Calexico. |
And everyone in Calexico reads the OC Weekly and knows what he looks like. |
No, but if enough attention is called to this article and if someone who reads it has a problem with it, they at least have his name and employer name so they may reach him. |

I know exactly how that guy looks like. He was one of those popular ASB kids in High School, so it's hard to forget, class of 97 I think...
It's funny how this people who where the "school pride" involved in all the events in High School, are the ones who end up moving to San Diego, and talking shit about the city that raised them, and some eve denying ever living here... |

Man, that's pretty much what I told him. I let him know that people were pissed about the article, but he couldn't understand how it was negative. He stated he was challenging the people of Calexico.
He blamed most of it on the editor as well. Damn those editors... |

Who cares what this little fuck says. Not too many people thought this would be big. Many went just by sheer curiosity, and it seemed at least in my view point, that is was a success. I had a friend come down from San Diego, and he said he was amazed to see that the show was a success. Whether or not this Max Yim (I know who he is) really showed up to the show is beyond me, but what he says really holds no bearing for me. All that matters is that the band came to play here, Rodney Auditorium was damn near capacity, and everyone that was there loved the show. That's what matters, not what some yahoo from a magazine says. Instead of trying to bring interest for this little town of ours and his, the little fuck bashes it, quite possibly making whoever reads the magazine not think much of us. But I'll tell you what, when they do come for their Mexican Auto Insurance, these people usually say that this place is nothing like what they had heard. They actually like it. How do I know? I used to sell Mexican Auto Insurance, and that's what everyone that had heard of Calexico and swung by for the first time have told me. So don't worry about Max Yim writes at his little job, what matters is what people think once they actually experience it. |
