they'll be playing tonight at soma in sd, but i won't be in attendance because my friend's car is being silly. but i suggest you take a listen to both of these bands. the shins have been around for a while and you've probably heard of them. great melodies. and james mercer is a dreamy indie-rock dude. http://www.darkcoupon.com
and the fiery furnaces are a fairly new band composed of a brother and a sister and some other musicians. they have a very interesting sound. kinda bluesy/punk/rock but so much more than that. and the singer has an awesome voice. gallowsbird's bark, their debut album, is one of my favorite's of the year. http://www.thefieryfurnaces.com |
