With all this talk about hamburgers lately, I got an idea for a food experiment. I'm curious to find out if it's possible to get a burger named after our lovely Web site, Calecia.com.
You've seen them on local food menus. Meals named after some of the locals due to their "unique" tastes. Well its time for us to have our own damn meal named after us. We deserve it, don't we?
If you're with me, here's how we'll do it:
1)
We'll each list how we like our hamburger prepared. We can completely describe the entire creation or simply list your favorite ingredients. You may also list a few varieties.
2)
Once all (or the majority) of hamburgers are listed, we'll create a fusion from our tastes. Build your own burger, Calecia.com style.
3)
We'll continue to debate on what goes on the Calecia.com Burger, until we come to a compromise. It's an open discussion and all opinions will be heard and considered. This is democracy at it's finest.
4)
Once the Calecia.com Burger has been built, we begin to order it at local hamburger joints. We continue to do so until we are victorious. Failure is not an option.
Remember, the customer is always right. |

My favorite ingredient on any hamburger has to be grilled onions, extra please. Nothing is better than the sweet taste of caramelized onions piled high on my hamburger patty... overflowing.
I also love spicy food and have recently started ordering hamburgers with chile. I'll take any kind of chile, but the Ortega chile seems to be the most common.
Bacon. You can't forget the greasy bacon. |

Grilled/sauteed onions are essential. Roasted chiles add the perfect mix of spice with the sweetness of the onions. And then, melted cheese everywhere.
oh and a shitload of ketchup... |

Bacon, no lettuce, barbeque sauce (or ranch), at least two patties, no sesamie seed buns please.
As far as cheese goes, cheddar.
Onion rings or grilled onions are also a requirement.
Another ingredient that I've really started to enjoy on burgers is guacamole. |

| The pattie has to be grilled, extra pickles, tomatoes, lettuce, no onion(sorry), ketshup, mayo, extra mustard, cheese and a tosted bun. |

| Grilled onions with a squirt of mexican lime and salt, lettuce, freshly sliced tomatoes seasoned with pepper, enough ketchup, mayo, and mustard to make the sucker drip, and a generous amount of melted American cheese. |

| Hold on, we have to set a date for when the suggesting ends, and when the reviewing begins. How about May 1st? |
