You've all heard of Murphy's Law: Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong. Well, I believe that it goes one step further in my case, thus The Law of Bemisnorris: Nothing will ever go right.
I needed gas for my car, but had no cash on me (and very little cash in the bank), so I decided to take my coin jar to Food4Less to cash out. I got there and the machine was out of service, so I was forced to use my ATM card and risk overdraft.
I went to USA gasoline (the one where you pump your gas first and then pay), and put $10 worth of gasoline into my gas tank. I drove up to the cashier and handed him my debit card (as I have in the past), and he tells me, "Cash only. It's posted on the pump." Of course, I had no cash on me, so he tells me to leave him my cell phone while I go to the bank for the cash. I leave him my driver's license and go to the bank.
I only have $15 available, so I get down to get my money from the teller. Just as the teller is handing me my $10 she says, "Oh, wait...the money's not available to you. You only have $1 available." On Sunday, I deposited a check for $115 and some change for my ex; I withdrew $100 for her, so I should still have $15 available to me. I explain this to the teller and she informs me that, since I deposited the money on a weekend, the money wouldn't be available to me until tonight.
So, now I go to my other bank. I go to the drive-up ATM, insert my card, punch in my PIN, press the withdrawl button, press the $20 button, and, after I've done all this, the screen reads, "It's been a crazy day! I'm out of money. An ATM team has already been called." So, now, I go inside the bank grab a withdrawl slip, but all the pens were dry. When I finally got to the teller, I borrow a pen, hand her the slip, swipe my ATM card, and just as she's handing me my $10, she tells me, "Wait...I'm sorry but you only have $3 available to you."

| Don't keep us in suspense, so what happened afterwards? How did you get the money to pay the gas and get your license back? |

Well, remember my coin jar? That's right, I paid with $10 worth of quarters, nickels, and dimes. |

Hey, ass, I was laid off over a month ago, and my unemployment check doesn't cover all of my bills.*
*Yes, I've looked for work, and have, in fact, been offered a position that will pay me quite well...I'm just waiting for them to get my background check results. |

Hey, man I'm not saying I have any money myself. I'm just fucken around, take it easy.
This is what I did to help me out with situation like that. I opened an account where I put twenty bucks a paycheck and I only use for a rainy days. This has been a lifesaver for those times when I don’t have enough to pay for a bill.
I’m just trying to helping, man. I've been in you situation and I can sympathize so that’s why it makes me sick. |
