We have several noobs in Battlefield 1942 that bought the game just for this special event.

Really? They should have bought Battlefield Vietnam, instead.

Agreed.

I won't be buying Battlefield 1942, so I'm out as well. If I was going to purchase one of these two games, it would definitely be Battlefield Vietnam.

I'm in if we all play the FREE game, Return To Castle Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory.

By the way, I find Battlefield 1942 stale and decrepit. Let's make this a Desert Combat match. If you really want to prove your worth, make it CTF; first team to capture three flags in each of the agreed upon maps.

Alright, Desert Combat CTF it is. I just got done playing a few matches and it's like Battlefield on steroids. And since we're changing the mechanics of the game to CTF, let's change the Berlin map to Stalingrad, I think it would work smoother in CTF. Plus, right now I'm doing better in small assualt infantry oriented maps, rather than the large scale, planes and tanks ones.

Let me know when you've got your server up, though. I'll swing on by and see what you guys are up to.

I was going to set up a server tonight to practice on at 7:00pm but plans have changed, and I wont be home till a lot later. But I'll make one tomorrow starting at 5:00pm named "ecgaming" feel free to come on in.

I wanted a BF 1942 match not DC, because in DC the weapons are better, sniper is more accurate, you dont even have to try with the tank as much. Its basically who can turn teh fastest and click the fastest. I n fact Vash has started playing today!

M1918 BAR or M16, they're both equally efficient; it's all about the person using them.

As for the sniper rifles: the only real difference is reload time (semi-auto vs. bolt-action.) If you can't hit anything in BF1942, then you'll fare equally bad in DC, and vice-versa.

You don't have to try as much with a tank in DC? Are you serious? Tanks are easier to take out in DC than in BF1932, and that's just with infantry. Against aircraft, you might as well ditch it and run for cover when you see a Frogfoot or Warthog heading for you.

Well, if you guys don't want to play, then that's up to you.

Like I mentioned before, I play everyday so it's not like I'll be missing out on anything.
