| Nuevo Tecolote is good. You can get them to cater in the US, as well. Been to 2 parties where they've catered. Awesome! |

I forgot who said it, but tripa is supposedly banned in Mexico. Sounds impossible, as I'm sure the people would have hit the streets and started a revolution.
Any truth to this? |

Last night I ate at Acatlan (sober) and it was very good.
A few nights before I ate at Acatlan (drunk) and it was not very good.
Acatlan = pretty good. |

Pato recommended going to Tacos Tony in San Marcos. They are similar in taste to Acatlan, but are in fact bigger.
Another recommendation was this one cart in San Marcos that only sells al pastor. These were pretty damn good.
| pato wrote: | | Ok, the fastest way is the following: As soon as you go into Mex. get on Ave. or Calz. Rio Nuevo (the fiestas del sol street), and go all the way until you reach the Plaza Centenario (where the big flag is at). Right before reaching the plaza, exit up that street. Drive (or walk) straight up that street and right on the corner of the 4th STOP sign you stop at is the cart that sells the tacos al pastor. That's all they sell, no carne asada, no quesadillas, no nothing, just tacos al pastor. On that 4th stop sign, the same street the tacos al pastor are at, you turn right (north) and you head straight and you'll pass a glorieta and on the 1st stop sign, right in front is Tacos Tony!!!! Congratulations, you've arrived! |

| The key is to pick a spot you like going to drunk and never go when you are sober to that place. Keep it for all you drinking nights. I made the mistake of going sober to a place i liked going to drunk and it was a let down, now i don't know if i will go again because all i will remeber is what a let down it was the last time i went. |

No, I wish. It's now a birria and cabeza place.
These tacos were good, but I've had better. |

Anyone eaten at the taco stand outside of Kennedy's Market in Heber ("The town of carne asada")?
I've been seeing it just about everyday I pass through "Main St." It's illegal, so if it's good I hope it doesn't shut down. I'll have to try it out one of these days after work. |
