bands being good or bad is subjective(as stated above), but i'll list my top 10 favorite bands. cos i'm cool.
in no particular order:
1. sleater-kinney -- they'll always be my favorite band. 3 girls, no bass and awesome rock'nroll.
2. cat power -- she has an amazing voice. also a great song-writer. sexy.
3. the beatles -- no need to explain.
4. elliott smith -- soft voice, some sad songs, awesome musician. i miss him.
5. led zeppelin -- damn, yo. john bonham is my hero. and robert plant was super sexy.
6. quasi -- janet weiss(of sleater-kinney) and sam coomes make some great music.
7. mirah -- the sweetest voice i've ever heard.
8. the b-52's -- yeah, i know. you gotta listen to their other stuff. 'dance this mess around'
9. aimee mann -- amazing song-writer. 'save me' is one of my favorite songs.
10. the aislers set -- indie-pop/60's girl-group-sounding stuff. lotsa reverb.
