For as long as I can remember, people would go to Santo Tomas to pick up some bargains, and would eat of couple of hot dogs while they were there. The hot dogs they sell there are actually pretty good. In time, they added carne asada to their menu.
However, recently, they've really added extended their menu. I went there today, and decided to have some tacos de cabeza. Man, it was like eating in Mexicali, which would make sense since the guy who makes them is probably from Mexicali. I was really surprised at how good they were.
I've tried some of the other stuff on their menu like tacos de carne desebrada, and those were also pretty tasty. I think I'm gonna start going there for lunch more often. |

Wait a minute, I thought that cabeza was illegal in the U.S. now, because of the mad cow scare. |

I don't think that it's taken into effect yet.
Either way, as Amp put it to me a few weekends ago, "Come on, It's the Valley." |

You don't know how right you are.
One of the cart vendors happens to be none other than the "funny guy" waiter of Ocotlan past and of Tacos Yubis in Mexicali. I last saw him at Santo Tomas selling from a "tacos guisados" cart, so maybe he is handling the new selection.
The man is quite a character. No matter what the situation is, he is always kind and humorous. He obviously doesn't make a lot of money, so it proves that its not necessary to be happy in life. That or he's always coked up. |

True; we're pretty much Mexican hillbillies here in the Valley. |
