| hello!??!!? Spain has been attacked by ETA for many many years. Plus Al Qaeda has had sleeper cells there too. One year I was totally psyched to go to the Run of the Bulls in the summer of 96' and Spain cancelled the whole thing because ETA had kidnapped and killed a young prominent politician. The pictures of his blown up head were all over the newspapers. But no ETA attack has been as awful as this latest one. Maybe Spain will crack down harder than ever now. |

ETA has been around for 1963 in Northeastern Spain, so technically they are no threat to the United States. That being said the US really doesn't care about this incident or do they? If Al Qaeda or bin Laden would have claim responsibility you know the US would have been all over it, but I guess a simple phone call would do this time.
I'm not saying that the US should interfere in every aspect of world terror, but please don't claim you have a war on terror and then only help out those countries that are important to your presidential campaign. |

I heard last night that Al Qaeda had already taken credit for the attacks.
U.S. involvement will depend heavily on whether or not Bush thinks that this can help his relationship with Mexicans. |

Outside of Calecia.com, pato asked me if I knew how many days it had been since the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack in the United States and the recent Madrid, Spain terrorism act on March 11, 2004.
I answered with 911.
It was a quick guess, but an obvious answer, which was correct.
This whole "911" referencing, in my opinion, is getting very old. Al Qaeda terrorizing the world again 911 days after their last major one was unexpected to me, but should have been apparent to the terror experts all over the world. As it might be impossible to prevent these terrorist attacks, it would have been wise to alert the public of the possibility of one due to this upcoming date.
What's next terrorists? Sabotaging all Porsche 911s? |
