That's called a Bull Blaster. Jager with Red Bull. The thing is that I replace the Jager with Vodka. Raspberry Vodka. There's a special way to drink this. You get a pint glass and add the whole can of Red Bull then in a shot glass you have either the Vodka or Jager and you drop it in. Then you proceed by chuggin the entire thing. Wait 5-10 minutes and repeat as necessary. |

Music festival begins Valley tradition
Source: Imperial Valley Press
Garcia explained there were two primary reasons for the festival failing to draw more guests. The first reason, noted Garcia, was many people didn't know the venue's location. Second, the Valley didn't know what to make of the festival with it being the first of its kind in the county.
"I don't think the Valley was ready for it," said Garcia.
How many times can someone use the Imperial Valley as an excuse for failure? The Valley was not ready for this? Who does this "promoter" think he is? Is he from New York City, London, Tokyo? No, El Centro.
One of the reasons for this event's failure was the lack of pull these these acts had. How many times has Anything Box played in this region within the past 5 years? From Coyote Wells, Kalia, to an open field? Who booked the bands? The promoter.
The venue was hard to find? Calexico might have not been the best city for this event if they were planning to draw a large crowd from all over the Imperial County. Many people don't set foot in this city unless they must. Many see Calexico as the bastard child of the Imperial Valley... an offspring of Mexicali... whatever that means. Who chose this venue? The promoter.
There are many reasons why this event failed. The main one was ticket pricing. The majority of people are not willing to pay $15 (advance; $20 at the door) for entry to see local bands that play frequently, see a headlining band who had two hits in the 1990s, or to pay for expensive beer. If tickets were half this price, potentially double the people would have attended and portrayed a successful festival. Who set the prices? The promoter.
Who failed? The promoter.
The problem? Looking to make a profit NOW. |

If anyone wants a digital copy of the Calecia.com Lost Dog flyer autographed by every member of Anything Box, please, just say so. You can have one.
If you want an autographed copy with elchrist's signature, that'll be $20. |
