| Who saw it? I saw it this past weekend and I tought it was good, but disturbing. It is crazy to think that this was a real life story. They also did a good job in making Christina Ricci look ugly; something I could not ever perceive. The only thing that bothered me was that a lot of people went to see it that day and thought they could laugh at every scene. Believe me, some of those scenes were not to laugh at. |

I wanted to see this movie when I read a review in the LA Weekly stating it was one of the best movies of the year. Even Roger Ebert gave it a thumbs up, which sometimes is a bad sign, but the rest of the critics were very positive. Unfortunately the last showing, in Los Feliz, had already started so I never got a chance to watch it.
I'm glad to see that the Calexico 10 Theaters picked it up. Hopefully I'll be watching this movie tomorrow, if I can't resist seeing The Passion of the Christ instead. |
