I have to agree with Mari**; Creedence Clearwater Revisited is playing at the Mid-Winter Fair this year. Creedence Clearwater Revisited was formed by Creedence Clearwater Revival's bassist, Stu Cook, and drummer, Doug “Cosmo” Clifford, and although I truly enjoy Creedence Clearwater Revival, I don't think I could enjoy Creedence Clearwater Revisited.*
*Unless they manage to get John Fogerty to sing for them. |

You can't possibly compare The Specials with CCR.
Even if it's not the original thing, it's CCR. I'm there for sure. It's also a lot more convenient than going to Mexicali. |

This city has a big ska following and although The Specials were one of the first ska bands to become popular, they aren't exactly top billing anymore.

here's the web page of the orginzers, they usally do bring the bands they claim, if they get their asses toghether, crapy web page though....

| I hear that Air Supply was in Mexicali on the 27 of February. I just have one question, were they really the original members on stage? Or was the wool pulled again in Mexico? I'm just curious. |

| You guys are full of shit. Why can't the specials or any other bands come here? idiots. Skattalies are also coming sometime this year. Celebrating 40 years of ska. I don't give a shit if you dont believe me. Especimen is also coming. Don't go if you dont believe me idiots. By the way CCR is nothing withought Fogerty. he wrote every single song. MAde all the arrangements too. I wouldn't waste money on CCR Revisited is a waste. |

Apparently you don't spend money at all, it's cool maybe the only gigs you can afford are the one's where you pay 10 pesos and you would only pay if it includes a cup of beer |

No one is saying the Specials are not playing in Mexicali. At first it was only speculated because it was (and as far as I know is) a rumor.

We know about Especimen coming to Mexicali as it was posted on Calecia.com Events a couple days ago.

CCR at the Imperial Valley Fair was free. I was at the fair on that Friday, but didn't attend the concert. Yes, John Fogerty was CCR as any other prominent lead singer usually is for a band, but this replacement singer sounded very close to the original music. |
