Let me ask you all a question... Have you ventured in to the Calexico Chronicle lately? What???!!?? The whole paper is a joke - a rubber stamp for the City Council. I see more propaganda for the Council then actual objective reporting. Oh, and while I'm at it - what the HELL is the column "Once Upon A Time In Sports"???? Does this Oscar Gonzalez know how to write? This guy is fantacizing about events and people that were around 40 years ago - some more. Hey Oscar - mix in a click of the "SPELL CHECK" and "GRAMMAR CHECK" once in a while. And your STUPID comments about a new High School vs. a weakend football team is absolutely assinine. Please, tell me you're not serious when you cry about the "Fighting" (we never called them that, by the way) Bulldog football squad vs. the good of 1600 students to learn. Remember - only a SMALL PERCENTAGE of the students play or attend sporting events. It''s the "veteranos" that hang on to the past. Maybe thats why you're still stuck there. Move on.

I personally don't read the Chronicle, it's way too expensive for the 6 black and white pages you get. Not only that, but the headquarters for the Chronicle aren't even in Calexico, I think they're in Holtville.
Of course it's gonna be nothing but propaganda for the Council. No decent newspaper would say our council is actually a good one, or want to endorse any of the people on the council.
This paper needs an editor, and some real writers, not some near high school dropouts that got offered the job by a friend of theirs. |

When the editor got married, the whole edition was pictures of her wedding. It was ridiculous. I know that owners and editors, of newspapers, are not supposed to include anything about themselves or their families in the paper. It's considered completely innappropriate and unprofessional. It's sad, really.
The Chronicle is not a business; it's an ego trip. |

Amazing....
When Hildy Carillo-James-Rivera-Whoever now was running it, it was a real farce! Only pictures of her family and friends....
By the way - what DOES she do???? I wonder if she has some 'pictures' of people in power or something...

| Not quite. I'm only the editor of the business section. Stocks and things of that sort. |

Au contraire, mon frere. It's right there, sandwiched between the technology section and the "buy one council member, get the second one free" quarter-page ad. |
