They asked for too much money?

I remember when I was little and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were big, I remember they would sell some "action figures" at those convenience stores you can find at every colonia in Mexicali. They were made out of wax and were painted (the paint would come off after handling them too much). They were packaged in a plastic bag stapled shut with a cardboard label that said "Las Tortugas Ninja".

This infringement may not be local, but I've seen some people wearing these shirts that look like they are made by Nike (you know, athletic type gear) but instead of having the swoosh they have a big N with the word AIR under it in smaller letters. A total knock off.

I recently saw a van drive by with the Oakland A's logo. It was some sort of electrian company. Same damn logo though.

I don't know how I got to reading this thread again, but it sure is hilarious. Just like a good book, you can always read it again and again.

Looks like another case of BLTI in El Centro...

In the Garcia Shopping Center, there's a Mexican restaurant named The Flintstones Hot Dogs with Fred Flintstone carrying a hot dog as their logo.

There's also a banner hanging in front with the obligatory typo reading "Flindstones Hot Dogs."

Who knows though? Maybe Hanna-Barbera licensed the brand?

I think they have one of those in Mexicali, too.

Also saw it in Mexico City and Guadalajara.

The other day I was listening to 98.tree and I heard a commercial for this bar in mex. I couldn't believe what the name of the bar was: La Taverna de Moe. (Moe's Tavern.)

That's also the name of a rock band in Mex..or it used to be.
