|
|
I was wondering if anyone knew of a good club in San Diego.
I was planning on going out on the night of my wedding to dance and have a few drinks. A group of us is going out that night, but I'm not sure where to go. I was looking for a club that is tasteful without the wild crowds. We want to socialize, dance, and have a good time. Does anyone have a suggestion of where we can go?
If you guys want to meet us there you can. |

| May I recommend the Star Bar in the Gaslamp Quarter? It is positively the best bar in all of San Diego. |

I was already thinking going to the Gaslamp Quarters. I'll check out the Star Bar. I friend told me that On Broadway is also a good one. |

Indeed, the Star Bar is a great place to have some drinks, but I believe the gentlemen are looking for a place where they can do some dancing too. I reckon Lips on Fifth Ave. will suit you well. |

I've never really been to a club in the Gaslamp District, but I've walked by many and they appear to be filled with drunk jocks and tourists who usually tend to get out of control. Stay away from E Street Alley, which is across the street from Star Bar.
I've hear Your Place in Kensington is pretty good and somewhat new. I can't recall the details and am leaning towards it being more of a bar environment. |

| This evening will include myself with my then wife, and several other couples. Since the wedding reception will not involve a dance we plan to go out and dance at a club. |

Actually, I've been wanting to go to Lips for some late night dining and entertainment. I hear their drag queen cabaret is one of the best in San Diego. |

Aubergine Grille.
Martini Ranch.
Probably your two best bets. I've never been to the Star Bar, but for all I know it could be the best joint ever. Also, if it's going to be a special night then avoid E Street Alley, Clubb 66, Blue Tattoo, and the Bitter End.
If you want to see people from the Valley then hit Cafe Sevilla. |

I would say Cafe Sevilla, but you're too white for that. |
I've been looking at that site, but I wanted to know what your guy's opinion was.
As far as being to white, you are some-what right. I do not like banda music, but I do love mariachi which I will be having at my wedding. I like dancing to other stuff other than banda. I've dance enough banda at all my cousins weddings.
I've check those places out. |
