Don't know how many of you are boxing fans, but I follow boxing pretty closely. I've been following Titi Maldonado and Barrio Meza and they are what boxing in Mexicali has been lacking for many years. I still remember all those great fighters from Mex, Kid Meza, Changa Marquez, Maromero, etc.. that gave so much glory to Mex, and since Maromero no one has brought the excitement back. These 2 boxers, Titi and Barrio are managed by Erik "Terrible" Morales, but I don't know if he'll be at the fight this time since he has a fight in LV on February 28 vs Jesus "Matador" Chavez. So for all you complainers about there not being shit to do around here, here's another option.

They're not that expensive. I went to Titi's last fight and it cost me $100 pesos, which was General, the front row seats were $300 pesos. But the Gimnasio de Mexicali is a great place to see a fight cause all the seats are good, therefore why spend $300 when you can see it just as good in the $100 pesos section. This fight will be in the Auditorio cause it holds more people, so I don't expect the prices to be any higher. Like in every Mexicali event, they sell all kinds of food, colitas, chicharrones, and some little dried fish with lemon and chile, but watch out, they make your mouth stink really bad. They gave me some free tickets to the fight that was held in Imperial about 1 1/2 month ago, and they were $15 bucks and the fights sucked, the beer was fucken expensive, and the ambience as I expected totally sucked.

Do you know where I could get tickets in advance or do they just sell at the door?

They usually sell the tickets at Discoteca Silvia, the one on Calz. Lopez Mateos only. It's 4 blocks as soon as you cross the border, on your left side, just before getting to the little glorieta park. and of course you could get them at the door the day of the event.
