I don't believe that Requiem for a Dream is/was overrated at all. In fact, Marlon Wayans performance as Tyrone "Ty" C. Love was outstanding. No bullshit.

Marlon Wayans should have been nominated for an Oscar for his performance.

I've been wanting to watch this movie. Can you find it at any local video store?

I'm sure you can. Check Hollywood Video in El Centro, since they seem to carry a better selection of "independent" and/or "avant-garde" films.

If not, then you can most definitely find it at Reverend Ramrod's Rental Rack.

Thanks. I'll check it out.

There is something about using "Reverend Ramrod's" and "Rack" in the same sentence that makes me uneasy.

I think Mars said you can find it at Video 2000.
What I do is call the place up.
You know that Video 2000 doesn't carry Eddie Murphy Raw.

Hmm. I don't know if I should take that as a compliment, or an insult.

But yes, I do own quite an extensive collection of foreign, independent and avant-garde films on DVD; Requiem for a Dream - Director's Cut, being one of them.
