That band is so overrated. Maldita Vecindad and Cafe Tacuva are probably the best rock bands in Mexican history.

The best Mexican music is performed by none other than "Mi Luis."

that is true

Most overrated band, IMO, is Maldita Vecindad. I've seen them at least twice and don't see what the big deal is with them. Maybe they were pretty original and exciting in the 80s.

Cafe Tacuba is a different story. At first I was a little disappointed with their crossover to the Electronic genre, but soon realized that they were quite good at it as well. I still remember the day I saw them live in Mexicali and changed the music set from their old style to electronic. I was like, "WTF!?"

If you guys ever got to see Fabulosos Cadillacs live, you know they fucking rocked. Even at their 2000 tour, when some guy threw a rock at them and they refused to keep playing for about 5 minutes. The last time I saw them was in april of 2002, which was their last tour. They looked kind of tired but they still brought their kickass latin, ska, and punk beats and got the mosh pit going. If anyone has seen them then you know what im talking about.

Some of my friends are really big Fabulosos Cadillacs fans, so I've seen them play twice. All I have to say is Eh.

They're good, but goddammit, that singer is nothing more than Bono #2.

The first time I saw them I was really impressed, the music is catchy and fun, but the second time, it only took one song for me to go, "let's get the hell out of here, booooring."

Well here we have it!!!!!!!!! The ultimate knowledge of music!!! Listen bro, it's obvious what type of attitude you want to bring. You want to portray yourself as the veterano/anarquista/ hardcore/mexicali subterraneo type of guy, and make the rest of us look immature, idiotic musically challenged, emo boys. Well, I'm sorry to break it to you, but we know just as much as you do about punk, hardcore, or ska (probably even more). The fact that we have discussions of music other than punk/ska or that I enjoyed going to a 311 concert doesn't mean we are commercial music sellouts, or that we don't know about other good music (ex: punk, ska, metal, hardcore, etc.). If you are 16-18 years old, I forgive you for being so naive. If you are 21 or older, I'm sorry to say that you need to grow out of it and get a life.
